it's also Robbie Burns Day...so I'm enjoying a wee dram of some fine single malt. Happy Robbie Burns Day to all you of Scottish decent (and those who are for one day a year).

I don't know who Robbie Burns is, but I'll have a drink with ya. I'm having Fireball Whiskey. Oh, isn't Robbie Burns related to Rusty, maybe his Dad or something? Or his employer at the nuke plant?

Oh, and Lethro, I hope you're wearing a kilt and wearing it in the proper fashion.

Another question: Why don't men wear skirts? Isn't free-balling a more natural state?

"Should old acquaintance be forgot...."

"The best laid schemes of mice and men...."

"My Love is like a red-red rose...."

I have some Scottish in me, too, through Canadian Mormon relatives, in Southern Alberta.

Enjoy your wee dram. I'm swigging hot mulled cider, after being out playing in the snow all day.

"Skirl your pipes and beat your drum.
The happiest days are yet to come."

I love Robert Burns. On one of his anniversaries a radio station in the city in which I lived played a ton of his poetry and I followed up by buying some of the actual books.

I also recall a Saturday when, having not been in Scotland long, two young boys approached me and asked me if I had the "tame." I said, "Tame, what's tame?" One of the boys pointed to his wrist and said, "the TAME!"

Perfect! I wish I could remember my Scottish grandfather's voice. Mom said he spoke with a thick brogue.
