No, after 13 years of k-12, still hadn't found a useful career path/plan that could support me. If you ask me schools a big waste of time for most Americans, and the education bureaucrats (University educators) should be tried as criminals. I read recently that despite 13 years of public education and obedience training 68% of Amercians still hate their jobs.
Have you considered that the purpose of a public education is to create generalists who have basic skills for life and that's it?
If they don't like their jobs, is that a systemic problem with the education system or with the idea that we should have a system where people have to perform tiring, meaningless, soul-sucking jobs in order to live?
You are welcome to deep-six the public education system. God knows, there are forces that want it to be flushed down the toilet and will strip funding from it at the drop of a hat. But the consequences will be to produce an even dumber populace who are swayed even more by demagoguery and who have nothing but enmity for each other.
