Thanks for the post, Wondering. Marricone's scores (and he was prolific!) are all fantastic. I especially the scoring during enjoy Tuco's (Eli Wallach, "the Ugly") run through the graveyard. If you decide to watch the movie (again?), pay careful attention (maybe using stop motion frequently) to the three combatants'' eyes as they square off. Subtle, but telling.
