The problem of abuse is as bad in the Doomsday CULT of Joseph’s Myth, if not worse, in my sad experience.

That’s an average of 70 abused kids for every accused Priest.
These ‘celibate’ (wink, wink, nod, nod) Priests have more of an active sex life than most non-priests!

In the 1950's I witnessed two Catholic Nuns dress straight go to a local bar, pick up men and fuck their brains out.
The following day they were back in uniform pretending as usual

Vaginas and dicks are there to be used. This whole celibacy thing is causing the clergy and nuns to secretly bang anything that breaths. Don’t bang anyone underage and have their permission to bang them.

Of course they did.

It's one of the perks of becoming a priest for some types. They get to have a "respected" role in society, using God to gain trust and access.

It has been the perfect cover to protect those who don't fit into society sexually throughout history, IMO. They have used believers for their own sexual preferences while publicly condemning immoral behavior. They have gotten away with it with little accountability for too long, IMO.

If your religion asks you to remove clothes, or discuss sexual issues, it is going to attract people who know how to exploit the naïve.

From the article: "The Catholic Church is, after the circle of family and friends, the environment that has the highest prevalence of sexual violence," the report said."

The environment that has the highest prevalence of sexual violence. Hard to wrap your head around that.

Article: “The head of the inquiry said there were at least 2,900-3,200 abusers, and accused the Church of showing a "cruel indifference towards the victims".

“The inquiry found that about 60% of the men and women who were abused had gone on to "encounter major problems in their emotional or sexual lives".

“…for many French this will be the moment they wake up to the sheer scale of the phenomenon of Church sexual abuse. What was once anecdotal and prurient is suddenly a defining feature of society."

---

“A defining feature of society”. Stunning.

And these numbers are just in France. So many other countries too…

Article: “There has to be recognition that sexual abuse of youngsters by priests was systematic. It was the Church - not rogue individuals - that was responsible.”

This is what is being said in Canada about the horrors of the residential schools for Indigenous children, run by various religions but mostly Catholic, many of whom suffered sexual abuse by priests and nuns. Many of them never returned home. The result of their schooling mandated by the government is marked graves, unmarked graves and mass graves in many locations - children killed by disease, abuse and neglect. The search by relatives goes on. The responsibility lies with the churches and the government as well as the abusive individuals. Many of them have aged and died and won’t have to answer to authorities. But the church… Reps from the other churches involved have issued apologies. One from the Pope, long requested by Indigenous Peoples here, is to date not forthcoming.

Article: “The burden of the report is that ad-hoc expressions of repentance and a bit of tinkering with ecclesiastical structures are no longer good enough."

“Many in the Church will be horrified by what they discover. Many will welcome the moment as a catharsis. As Sister Veronique Margron, president of the Conference of Religious Orders, put it: "If the Church must tremble, well let it tremble."

Tell it to the Pope.

This is the main reason the Catholic Church is losing members in America. I really hate the fake patriarchal hierarchy that places Incels in charge of vulnerable kids. Time to smash the patriarchy!

Patriarchy is men in charge, matriarchal is primarily women holding the reigns and both the women and men in Utah's law enforcement covered up the BYU rape escapades for years and years until very recently stopped!

Not sure I can agree patriarchy was faulted in the Utah criminal justice system.

El Gato is describing the Catholic Church, not law enforcement in Utah. That's why he reached the conclusion about patriarchy.

You never see kids getting raped in a matriarchy.

I wouldn’t call Catholic Nuns a matriarchal society.
They’re a group of women enabling a patriarchal society, which is naturally, abusive.
But if you’re so evil you’re going to rape children, why not just go all in and shove a crucifix up their asses and see if God strikes you dead?
Since none of them were struck by a bolt of lightning, I gotta conclude there is no God!

From the perspective of the children, their organization is a matriarchy for the simple reason that the bosses are women. It wasn't priests who abused those particular kids, nor, at least initially, priests who covered the abuse up.

And it's not just the RCC. Women running orphanages sometimes molest children; school teachers do so too, as well as nurses and female relatives of children. You can claim that is patriarchy in the sense that societies tend to be patriarchal, but that is just a pseudo-Marxian form of blaming the system and exculpating the individual.

Google "women abusing children" and you'll easy get up to speed. Both genders are capable of that particular evil.

“96 percent of people who sexually abuse children are male, 76 percent are married men, and 76.8 percent of people who sexually abuse children are adults.”

At first you said "You never see kids getting raped in a matriarchy."

Even 96%, while high, isn't "never".

That's the reason for the ensuing additional information re the realities of abuse.

It's usually best to avoid absolutes unless for sure a thing is 100%.

Thank you for making me a better writer.

Should have said,’96 percent of people who sexually abuse children are male’ from what I read.
That’s just general population.
What do you think that number is in Catholic Church?
I bet it’s way worse in MORmON CULT, based upon my experiences, which I’ll admit, are extreme.
But very real.
I can send you a 300 page PDF of Abuse Cases against LDS Inc and give you many pages of information about 10 of those well documented cases, of even more information that is even more damning to LDS Inc.
And 90% of my male Mormon friends growing up were abused, raped because somebody, creepy incel, gets put in charge of a much less powerful person because dad is too busy in important meetings with other penisholders and naturally, a certain percentage them are going to let that power and authority go to their heads and they end up abusing kids.
Seen it waaaay too many times to think it’s a coincidence or tgat there’s any comparison to the number of Mormon women raping kids.

...haa the themed boy fantasy on porn channels!

Isn't religion and government as sticky for the human brain as sex and religion?

Yet another non sequitur.

The topic is child abuse in Catholicism and you elide right into politics.

Monomanaical much?

Believers give to the Catholic church a moral authority that it in no way deserves. I say this as a born and raised Catholic. Pope Francis has been an enormous disappointment in this regard.

Francis has changed church law so that suspected or known incidences of sexual abuse need to be reported to church authorities. What Francis notably failed to do was to require that such incidences be reported to the police and other civil authorities. I consider this to be a gross moral failure.

The perfect example of a sexual predator who starts his own Doomsday CULT to prey on gullible followers and abuse his power over them to Cuckold his followers by raping their wives and teenage daughters.

It’s straight out of Caligula’s playbook.

Joseph Smith was Caligula reincarnated as a country bumpkin in 19th C Upstate NY.
