She was found guilty of kidnapping a Mormon missionary (a former lover of hers) in the UK at gunpoint, with a male accomplice.
She handcuffed him to a bed in a remote cottage and performed sexual acts on him.
She and her accomplice skipped bail to the USA via Eire, using fake passports and disguises.
Should she try to come back to the UK she could be arrested and jailed for the crime she committed, not sure on the statue of limitations, but she might then risk arrest on skipping bail.
It transpired that she had a previous life as a model for bondage magazines before she met her Mormon boyfriend.

Yes I remember it well, I was a young relatively recent convert at the time & dreaded going into work each day, cos all the fellas I worked with were making comments like where's your chains? You can use them on me anytime etc. Also when it came out about garments when they'd been splashed all over the fromt page of the Sunday papers & said mormons never take them off, they'd come round you sniffing & making comments like its about time you changed your underwear etc. No, it wasn't a good time to be a young female mormon in the UK at all.
I think for many British NonMos, it was the first time Mormons registered on their radar.
I know it was for me.
There was also quite a lot of focus on their "one-piece underwear" which (according to newspapers of the time IIRC) was "supposed to preclude any sort of hanky-panky"... but didn't.
I was about thirteen at the time and found it all very titillating.

as happened to a convert friend of mine in that situation. Needless to say, her tenure in the church was cut short because she just couldn't take it any more.
At the time I grieved for her leaving and the friendship bonds were broken but now, with hindsight, I know that she dodged a bullet for sure.
Maybe I should seek her out and see how she's doing but I'm afraid she might tell me to buzz off.
She was sorta sexy with a touch of skank back in the day when she kidnapped him. I suppose there was a time in my life when being kidnapped and sexed all over by her would have been an accompishment. However, today she looks like a space bovine.
