Suppose you hired a plumber to do some work in your house. Everything looked great at first, but later, you found evidence of leaking which caused damage to house. After doing some investigation, you discovered that the plumber had been dishonest about their education and qualifications, and that they had used substandard materials and done shoddy workmanship.

Would you just leave the plumber alone?

A better analogy,

You are in an abusive relationship and finally manage to escape with your life, but your loved ones are still trapped in the abusive relationship with your abuser, who is still abusing them. Are you going to leave them alone?
Or do whatever you can to stop the abuse?
