America's religious fundamentalists are for the most part still fighting the same battles of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries — the primacy of fundamentalist Protestantism, the creation of "God's Kingdom on Earth," and the absolute total rejection of fact-based reality and secular democracy under the rule of law instead of "The Bible."

They want a world where spirits, witches, demons, and angels are "real" and gravity, science, evolution, and natural selection are not.

Just like "The Book Of Mormon," their mental version of the US Constitution is not the actual version that is written on paper which most of them have never read, but their imaginary version which proclaims America as a "white christian nation" under "Biblical law."

So, what should we do?

Sue!

The USA is the most litigious society on Earth.

As a former British colony, America should sue Britain for damages for sending all of their religious nutcases here who have done nothing but cause trouble for the last four hundred years.

We could then send all the fundies to a new colony in Antarctica -- which is about as pristine and white as you can get -- where there aren't many people except a few scientists -- and penguins who can't file lawsuits...yet :)

Better get in line.

Perhaps there should be a date and time when a whistle sounds around the world and everyone returns to where they began for a reset.

The Mayflower was a Dutch cargo ship. Britain probably was glad to be rid of the pilgrims. The Mayflower was hired to take them to a America but it was a ship designed to haul heavy loads close to shore. It’s sailed horrible in the North Atlantic in rough seas. They were lucky they made it.

Anyways they survived, had their faults but did have a free thinking independent attitude that encouraged education. The puritans founded Harvard University. That individualist attitude is what later fueled rebellion against the king in New England.
