A breakdown of the church and EPA did wrong, and did it 50x greater than anyone in the Securities & Exchange Commission's history:

Seriously, don't click on this unless you're the type who instead of taking his/her smartphone into the bathroom, you take your TI 83 ...

EOD remembers Texas Instruments calculators. How quaint!

I wonder if he ever rode in a buggy.

When I was in 6th grade, early 70's, my friend saved his money and bought a basic calculator at radio shack for the astronomical sum of $40! We weren't allowed to use them in school so I never understood why he bought it. Never saw him use it.

Later in life he ended up on crack and lived in a dumpster. Last I heard at a school mates funeral about 2 years ago, he was cleaned up and making a decent living as a professional poker player.

Ah, the good old days, when your supersmart friend would whip out his new calculator and type "HELLO" and "BOOBIES" upside down...

I’ll have you know I once worked at TI. Even got a free calculator, or much reduced in price. Don’t remember. I much preferred TI parentheses over HPs Reverse Polish Notation, even though I could do RPN. It just took too much concentration.

Whoever did that slide presentation on the SEC ruling re LDS Inc did a nice job. It makes it plain as day that they were deliberately dodging the plain intent of the law. They fundamentally don’t believe in transparency, and felt justified in lying to keep their finances opaque.

They are lovers of darkness, which is ironic.

I've been an HP fan almost from day one.

There's no need to argue which is better HP or TI.

The thing I'd like to point out is that RPN is Reverse POLAR Notation, not polish

It is called Reverse Polish Notation because Lukasiewicz was too damn hard to spell and pronounce. And the P definitely stands for Polish. See section on HP in the linked article below.

I got an HP 41C in 1981, my junior year of collage (Mechanical Engineering). I still have it, and it is still a wonder of calculation prowess. I loved programing it to do hard equations in my homework
