The temple in Heber will require a red light atop its highest point due to its proximity to the local airport.

I wonder if Moroni will wear a glowing red beanie or maybe hold a flaming sword instead of a trumpet.

If we are lucky, low flying planes will knock down the spires.

If we're lucky, the USAF that trains at nearby Dugway Proving Grounds, will mistake it for a target on a bombing run.

Love your ideas for the red light. If there was any justice in this world the red light would go on Moroni's nose.

The temple in Bellevue, Washington ( ‘Seattle Temple’) was also near an airport, the pointy thing ( steeple or spire or ?) on top of the temple had a bright White strobe light flashing…

When the airport discontinued operations, the temple light went dark; I thought it was an effective attractant especially for I-90 travelers, but I guess the COB folks didn’t...

The LDS chapel in Enterprise, OR, which is situated next to the tiny airport, was required to remove its spire from the rather low roof, so they took it down and placed it on a concrete slab on the front lawn of the church. Looks pretty stupid. I think the airport looks pretty stupid, as well, for having the low-roofed church with the 5 foot spire remove the spire "due to safety concerns."

Actually, I just called up the street view on Google maps and the spire is more like 10' tall. Sorry.
