Go to Dunkin Donuts and order an eclipse and a cup of coffee.

Oh I am so sad! :( :( I was so looking forward to what your shortest family members thought of the whole thing

I found this mildly amusing..

"Dorks Of Nation Helpfully Identify Themselves By Wearing Solar Eclipse Glasses"

https://babylonbee.com/news/dorks-of-nation-helpfully-identify-themselves-by-putting-on-solar-eclipse-glasses

As luck has it, Sunny here where I'm at, but only about 48 percent at max coverage. And yes, I do have the Dork Glasses that I'll be using.

Only 25% coverage here. Not worth going out to my shop for my welding helmet. Have seen a partial before.

Well, I missed the Rapture.

Maybe it was my RfM addiction.

Thanks for this site, Sus. It was very helpful.

It was great to have the predictions and explanations so everyone could understand and possibly plan to see the eclipse months in advance.

I'm glad we are (mostly) past religious superstition which has done a miserable job explaining most things IMO. They rarely apologize for the BS they spread about everything.

Thank you, science.
Thank you technology for lenses, cameras, etc.

During my casual review of Google News this morning, my eyes burned this headline into my brain:

    "Mexican TV outlet
    accidentally airs
    a man's testicles
    during their solar
    eclipse coverage"

https://nypost.com/2024/04/09/world-news/mexican-tv-outlet-accidentally-airs-mans-testicles-during-solar-eclipse-coverage/

I did not read the article because I worried that it would spoil the effect.
