Joseph’s church died with him

The church Joseph Smith started died with him. What was left were a bunch of sheep to be herded. Several go getter church members started herding the sheep. You ended up with a few splinter groups and some unfortunately survive today. Brigham Young’s group became the biggest and richest.

A winning situation foe alpha-types, common for males of that era.

We're only partially beyond that paradigm.

With the Corporation of Sole there will be no splintering. Too bad. We won’t see a strong woman start a splinter group and have a revelation to have multiple husbands.
