A love for service, serving in the capacity of US President, and being a good man to his wife, Rosalynn.

He was most likely the most honest president we have ever had.

He was a good man with a genuine love of service.

My husband became a U.S. citizen when Jimmie Carter was president; we still have the letter he sent to my husband congratulating him on his new citizenship. President Carter told him that he will never be a “second class citizen”.

That letter is framed and sits in our living room.

I can imagine Carter sitting there and writing everything to the new citizens. Personally. What a great man.

People really mattered to him.
