It contains a link to the full advisory. There has been research linking alcohol consumption to various cancers for years now. This is just a more emphatic statement.

Oh, and Joey didn't actually ban alcohol. Beer (mild drinks) was apparently OK, and even distilled spirits were just friendly advice, not a commandment for nearly a century.
