There is a rumor going around that they have an AI version of him. Nothing would surprise me Lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if an AI version of him is being projected since he suffered a fall. He has a very big ego and wouldn't want his persona to be tainted by his old age.

Interesting how the church, Bednar in particular, continues to address the cautionary nature of AI, when the church is already using a lot of it in its daily operations.

OK, a deep fake is not an AI version of somebody. A deep fake is an image or video that appears to show someone doing or saying something they didn’t actually do or say. It mimics voice and body language.

I’m not sure what an AI version of someone would be. A hologram of Obi Wan Kenobi? I’m not aware of any AI version of anybody on earth yet, nor can deep fakes be done in real time. They are slowly and carefully crafted, just like CGI in movies. ETA: That means a conversation in real time with a deep fake is impossible. A deep fake is a canned presentation.


As for the church using “a lot” of AI in its daily operations, that would be news to me. Examples, please.

Conference talks may as well be written by AI.

Everything in MoMism (except temples) has been extremely diluted so it’s a challenge to assign responsibility to anyone; it’s like the moon cycles or the tides; the immediate image is of change, but patterns often repeat.
