Because, you know, the Colonies are the same as being multicultural!

Yeah...

I wonder if that means I'm related to him somehow. My grandmother grew up down there, and those families got pretty interconnected.

His family fled the US to a country where polygamy was also illegal, but they thought they could get away with it better down there.

Funny how that came out as heroic in their version. My great grandfather also went to prison for polygamy, but the family stories are more about how he never supported his 4 wives and so it didn't make much difference. He was always on missions when he wasn't in jail.

I'm a little jaded.

To "preserve a remnant of the seed."

Gonna read the WaPo and see if they included that one...

My great grandfather was also a polygamist who didn't take care of his family (35 children and three wives!). TBMs in my family think he was a great patriarch (he died broke and landless). His family suffered right down to my generation with ignorance and poverty and Mormonism (the LDS hat trick). I have no regard for him.

My nevermo GF and I read this over breakfast Sunday. She got a kick out of the kids all wearing the white shirts and ties.

BTW there was another Morg article in the Post the day before, but I'll do another thread there.

Thanks for the read. I wonder if this will be an issue with the birthers.
