Dude! Wake Up! O/T kinda sorta

So, I'm loading my Kindle the other day and one of the recommended books was "Ender's Game". I'm about 1/4 of the way through it before I realize that it was written by Orson Scott Card!! WTF? LOL

Sometimes I'm asleep at the wheel.

At least you wasn't reading Twilight...

On a serious note - growing up I loved reading the Dragonlance series of fantasy adventure books. Later, when I learned the authors were both LDS, it floored me.

I did not know that. I was a huge fan of the Darksword Trilogy when I was a kid, and read part of the Dragonlance series later on. Crazy.

Ender's Game

Ender's Game is one of my all-time favorite books. I've always wondered why Card is still mormon, and strongly suspect that he is at least a new order or only cultural mormon. Some of his novels push the envelope pretty far. Read "Songmaster" and you will immediately have some serious doubts about him.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songmaster).

Unfortunately no.

He might have been at one time, but he has gone pretty far deep inside Mormonism.

If you want to keep some respect for him, I wouldn't look at his most recent diatribes.

The never ending sequels for Ender kinda ruined for me. His Saints doesn't seem that LDS favoriable.
