Following up on the New Jerusalem in Goshen, UT thread that was closed.

From the Des News article, LDSinc in building its old-style New Jerusalem movie set had to import animals:

Do any members realize the significance of that? The BoM says they already had old world goats and sheep (and perhaps donkey's I can't recall) in the Americas. Why would LDSinc need to import these if the Jaredites left them in abundance?

IMO, the entire project is just pompous, but add the importation of the animals, and the situation becomes laughable.

I would be impressed if LDSinc had imported these animals using wooden submarine barges.

Yaknow what's funny? Based upon another post that indicated the Church took in 43MM sterling in tithes and offerings in 2009 and spent 1.7MM sterling on the needy and humanitarian efforts, the morg is spending more on this folly than all of the assistance spending it made in England in 2009.
