So the wife and I have decided to resign. We're just working on the kids a little here and there for a few weeks first. Tonight I sat down with my teenagers and asked them a few questions.

Kids: I don't know. Maybe 3 or 4?

Me: Come on let's look it up on the church website.

(Kids jaw dropping at the computer screen)
Kids: Whoah! That's a lot.
Me: Let's count them.
(Kids 1,2,3...24)
Me: What do you guys think about that?
(Kids are speechless)
Me: What about Brigham Young. How many do you think he had.
Kids: Can we be done now?
Me: Just one more. Come on let's bet see who can get closest.
Kids: Ok, Maybe 20?
(Me doing Google search)
(Kids astonished that Brigham had even more wives)
Me: So what do you think about that?
Kids: That's way too many. I would get tired of having so many Moms
Me: So do you think it would be ok for me to get another wife then?
Kids: No way.
Me: Ok. I wouldn't want anymore anyway I can't afford another one.
(Kids laughing)
I didn't push it anymore than that just wanted to get them thinking. I thought you guys would enjoy the exchange.

polygamy is the (mis) label that Joe Smith used for what he did."adultery" is the more accurate term.
