So the Apostles are special witnesses of Jesus. Or special witnesses of the name of Jesus. (Whatever it is at this point in mainstreaming toward Protestantism). Either way "Special WITNESSES."
Wonderer's post emphasized an important observation about apostles. We are not allowed to ask them about their testimonies. Especially not allowed to ask if they've seen Sweet Jesus.

This raises a question in my feeble mind:
What good is having these special witnesses if we are not allowed to hear about their special witnesses?

Someone needs to spend the money after fleecing the flock.

If the Apostles want the membership to stop asking them if they've seen Christ, then they need to shut up when they talk to the church membership at Gen Conf or STake Conferences when they blather on about being SPECIAL WITNESSES of Christ and then pause and stare everyone down.

But then I think they like having their cake and eating it too.

How is their "witness" any different than the rest of us?!

If theirs was so "special" they need to clarify, otherwise its meaningless.

The prophets and apostles of the Bible and Book of Mormon saw Jesus, and visions and visitations from angels AND THEY SHARED with the followers WHAT THEY SAW! That was the point of prophets and apostles.
