Some years back, when I was attempting to be TBM for Mrs. Hela's sake, we were asked to host the missionaries for dinner.

As you know, there's pressure to invite people over for that same dinner so the mishies can work on them and testify and hopefully acquire a "golden contact" and maybe even a baptism or two.

At this same time, a coworker of mine was also pressuring me to join her MLM scheme. Due to a number of circumstances too long to detail here, I felt I couldn't just tell her no at the time.

So, I invited this coworker, and the man who was her "up line" in the MLM, over for the missionary dinner, without first telling them.

I think up to a certain point, both pairs of guests were briefly entertaining the though of "making their pitch" to the other pair. When both the mishies, and this woman and her MLM contact realized what was up, you should have seen the sheepish expressions around the table! It was priceless.

We weren't bugged to host missionary dinners or join any MLMs for a considerable time after that.

But TSCC teaches passive-aggression. I just turned it back on them this time.

That is awesome!!! I'm going to try it out next week when our non-lds neighbors who are constantly trying to get us to buy into some MLM juice program come over for dinner.

LOL!

At least with other MLM schemes you get something tangible like candles, makeup, pots...something besides constant misery ;)

I used to hate visiting a certain "friend" because she was always trying to sell me things. I couldn't just show up and hang out...
