Sexual purity is compromised if your in the vicinity of someone having sex!

Another great post identifies the Mormon crazy factor around sexual morality.

"Lesson from gospel doctrine today:  'You are compromising your sexual purity and morality if you are in the vicinity of people having sex'"

I love how the definition of vicinity is questioned. What about an unborn baby who is in the vicinity of pregnant mom and dads friday night activities? Neighbors on the other side of the duplex wall? Hotel rooms next to yours? What about watching a movie or TV show?

You mean like sitting in a recliner watching them, or perhaps standing in line (like the movie Airplane!)? Maybe if you are hiding in their closet watching, or in the vicinity as the cameraman?

Otherwise, watching cartoons while the parents have the door locked shouldn't count since you've got no idea why they keep giggling.

Will children soon be interviewed to see if their parents are guilty of tampering with their innocence by having sex while they are in the home?

Where does this intrusiveness end? If I had a neighbor who acted like this, I would move. Seriously, are they obsessed or what?
