The church leadership is trying to distance itself from that 2nd coming warning crap (notice its never mentioned in GC anymore?) because that garbage makes them look batsh*t crazy.
Course that's a useless gesture cause too many people had p. blessing that said they would witness it in their lifetimes, etc. Too many talks about it, too.
The church might be able to edit older history, but its hard to do it with current stuff...
