AWESOME! Thanks, Dave, for posting that. It places the Book of Mormon into perspective by grouping it with it's proper cohort.

Argue that the Resurrection of Jesus belongs at numero uno (big smiley face)

I always want to nitpick lists that are serious (even ones that contain "top one hundred" picks) because invariably some "injustice" is done..

No argument that the choices reflect excellent discernment, but what about the Roger Patterson Bigfoot Film? Or the Clifford Irving Howard Hughes biography? The Hitler Diaries? And lately the Kensington Runestone has been making the rounds on the History Channel; the "Masonic Conspiracy Crowd" is claiming that one, as are the LDS "diffusionists" like Wayne May, Rodney Meldrum, and some others...

So many liars; so few one-liners...

Actually, ANYTHING about the fake jesus character is a bigger hoax than mormonism and you have a valid point based on the number of people who have been deceived by the hoax.

...more people believe "Protocols" is genuine than believe the BoM is genuine.

I just saw a segment about the Cottingley Fairies on Antiques Roadshow (the episode in question was a "best of" compilation.) A decendant of one of the girls in the photo (I think the daughter) had possesion of the original prints along with the camera that was used to take the photos. The appraiser said that it was one of his very favorite items that had ever been brought in for the show.

You don't realise when you are a TBM how the rest of the world see you. I never knew, for instance, that whilst most people think Mormons are decent people and make good neighbours, they also think they are stupid and gullible for believing in such obvious frauds.

Whilst in the Morg, of course, we thought *they* were the ignorant ones!

That'll have to be the most successful and pernicious hoax in history.
