Wow, why is it that you can't even say something about UT without mormons thinking you are taking a stab at their religion??? UTAH DOES ROUTINELY LOOK THE OTHER WAY when it comes to the FLDS. In my opinion, it's because the raid of 1953 on short creek was a disaster, and because people are lazy. They don't feel like doing the work. Older men have been marrying underage girls for years, not just Warren Jeffs. My grandmother on my father's side was born in Colorado City. Up until the Jeffs took over, she's had pretty consistent communication with her family, who still lives there. Now they aren't allowed to talk to outsiders and especially people who have left. She will see her sister in the grocery store every once in a while and she will have to ignore her. Very sad. This isn't a secret that no one knows about, the very least Utah could do is change out the law enforcement down there. That way, when someone called the cops, it wouldn't be the the FLDS taking orders from the prophet, or from Willie Jessop, they would be the real police.
