We live in the ward where DH grew up, and we left the church earlier this year just before moving back into this ward. He doesn't want to hand out candy this year because he'd see all his peers from young mens coming trick-or-treating with their kids, and they would ask him why they haven't seen him at church. Most of these people have no idea that DH left TSCC or that he is living in their ward again. He'd rather not have that awkward conversation over and over again tonight, even though he usually loves handing out candy to the kids.

We have no kids to take trick-or-treating tonight, nor do we have any other plans (oops). DH gets home from work in a half hour and I think he's probably going to spend the evening moping about the situation unless I can come up with something for us to do.

Ideas??? Anything is welcome. Thanks.

Turn off all the houselights so it looks like you're not home and jump his bones. ;-)

Or just go out, have some dinner and drinks or anything else fun out of the house.
