Her father, Hugh Rodham, has already been baptized and endowed by proxy. Now, Hilary's mother Dorothy Rodham is "available" for proxy baptism. And a year later, she can be endowed and sealed to her husband for all eternity by proxy.

She did express concern when she learned that her lifelong-Methodist father (Hugh Rodham) had been necro-dunked in an LDS temple. This happened at the same time as one of the periodic controversies surrounding proxy baptisms of Holocaust victims. Usually such baptisms are publicized by geneaologist Helen Radkey of Salt Lake City, who releases a large batch of Holocaust victims whose names appear in the IGI.

After the news release, typically TSCC meets with Jewish groups, they promise not to do it again and to purge names from their lists, and then a few years later it happens all over again.

At about the same time as one of the Radkey releases, someone informed Hilary that her father was among the necro-dunked. Obviously he has no living descendants who might have requested the ordinance on his behalf:

I had no idea Hilary's mother had such a horrible childhood. What an amazing story to end up raising a first lady, senator and secretary of state. Life is such a mysterious, amazing journey.

All that said, god forbid the Mormons end up sealing this poor woman's abusive parents to each other and to her. What presumptious assholes to think they know who should be bound together for eternity.

Agree. Had no idea whatsoever that she had to overcome so many barriers. Her father seems to have had a comfortable middle class, Methodist upbringing (similar to Hilary's upbringing), and I simply assumed the mother had grown up more or less the same. I doubt if any of their descendants are LDS, so the father's inclusion in the IGI is proof that they do not limit proxy baptisms to direct ancestors of current members.
