I love languages. I admit it.
That's also why I hate the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith thinks Elijah and Elias are two different people, hehehe.
Clueless.
Anyway. I tried to see what languages I could find the Book of Mormon in.
Was there a Latin one? Ah, no. I could only find the first chapter of the Book in Latin. Ah well... but what's the church called in Latin then? eh?
Nobody knows. Just look at this discussion:
http://la.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disputatio:Ecclesia_Iesu_Christi_Diebus_Ultimis_SanctorumMaybe something for the Prophet to address?
In Swedish the name of the Church is properly written:
"Jesu Kristi kyrka av sista dagars heliga"
literally translated to:
"Jesus Christ's church of last days' holies"
It's a stupid name even in Swedish. We have a native word for saint, "helgon". Of course it's not used.
Today, btw, is Allhelgonadagen and tomorrow it is Alla helgons dag. Both terms mean (All Saints' Day), but the first one is the more archaic term and is the secular holiday while the second one is a modern term and the religious one.
Maybe I should celebrate the real saints? eh? Like the real martyrs of religion and irreligion everywhere?
Maybe light a candle for them? Maybe a candle for the MMM? Or the gay suicides?
