Hey, why not? I mean, if god can let kids worldwide starve when he's so busy helping pro football players score, religious teachers preach, Mercedes owners find their keys, well, why shouldn't the upper class emulate god?

I don't think Gawd is part of the 1% because he's apparently always broke. Evidence - all the religions that demand money for salvation.

But god has mansions, and only the very wealthiest are "wealthier than god". He has treasure in heaven. He has a kingdom.

God is definitely a 1 percenter.

God hides away in his agonizing envy, but rages uncontrollably now and then anyway, in ways that us mortals find hard to understand. Maybe his mother was mean to him?

Well, Stalin did a pretty good job of starving millions of Ukrainians, and they were all supposed to be equal "comrade brothers", but I guess some are more equal than others...

Yes, Stalin and Mao and ... did. And Brigham Young's tryout of united order fared only slightly better on a small scale. BY ended up with lots of personal property.
