I have to admit it, I was harassing HT again recently. . .

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I commented, "You know, I think becoming a father was a good experience for God. Did you ever notice how much he lightened up in the New Testament? I mean, in the Old Testament, he was such a touchy, unpredictable grouch a lot of the time. . ."

HT, bless his kind heart, is used to this kind of thing by now. He just smiled and replied that he'd never quite thought of it that way, but it was certainly an interesting point of view.

Maybe it's some sort of disorder. I just can't resist pecking at hyper-religious people.
