A friend of mine sent me a notice from his Lutheran parish in DC saying that there will be a Pizza and Movie Night this Saturday in the Parish Hall. Each person is asked to bring their own beer or wine.

I have a feeling that this church doesn't have anything like WoW proscriptions. (lol)

The pastor of this church has even married Gay and Lesbian couples that are members.

That's like when I had a glass of chardonay while eating cocopuffs.

Varying wines would pair well depending on the construction of the pizza with the type of dough, toppings, and acidity of the sauce.

Even a white would go well with a chicken Alfredo pizza and a light garlic crust.

But sometimes a joke goes with a good thread even better.

A good Italian white, or a Zin would be perfect. As would some Italian beer. Bud goes well, too.

Nah. One of my beer brewing buddies is a Lutheran minister.

Is Moretti Rossa. It's an Italian take on a German Double Bock. Spectacular beer, and just seems to pair perfectly with a large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom.

I hate fruity beers. Beer isn't meant to taste like raspberries. Yuk.
