What I learned at church today

I go to a contemporary non-denominational church. Our pastor said two things that I wish all Mormons could hear.

1. Feelings are not facts.

2. God doesn't want a Stepford Wife (meaning His followers).

As I posted on another thread, Mary did not have physical sex with God. Jesus is the one and only person ever conceived the way he was.

I learned that relationship with Jesus makes me "okay" with God, not going to church or any other "good" thing. Also, making deals with God (ie "I'll stop drinking if you get me promoted") isn't real repentance. I used to do that all the time as an LDS.
