I love Santa! Not in a “Bad Santa” movie kind of way, but I love Santa. And…elves. Yes, I love elves, too. I love fat bearded men and short little people. Am I sick?

There I have said it. I feel so much better now.

Will Steve hear my confession and give me my penance? I will say the “Night Before Christmas” ten times and watch the 1960 classics, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snow man. And A Christams Story and Scrooged. Whatever it takes to free me of this Love of Christmas sickness. I will take the sacrament of sugar cookies decorated like bells, with those tooth breaking silver balls for the clapper. And drink the sacred nog.

In my family...

...we not only got gifts from Santa but from his reindeer as well -- Rudolf, Dancer, Prancer, Donner, etc.

Pretty cool, eh?

I will only have a problem if you start to love MY (slighty chubby) bearded man. Other than that, I love santa. I have been putting up false idols to him all over my house in the last week or so. I am hoping (don't care who he is) he brings me what I want for Christmas. This is more likely than getting my prayers answered.

Yes Father Benson I AM an eggnostic this time of year. I have a bottle of the holy beverage in the fridge. Last night I had eggnog ice cream at my sisters house.
