One of my friends gave copies of this to all her family for Christmas last year. I was pretty glad I wasn't related. All that's missing from this picture is Satan saying "Good job men - now, for your next assignment..."
Would you have the time to give me all the names starting with Joseph Smith, Jr at the top and the next is Brigham Young then come down the stairs and back row left to right and front row left to right.
Reason: I am going to make copies and add the names and send it out as Christmas cards to Morg-family like it was coming from the "Ghosts of Mormon Past".
The card will say "Merry Christmas" and then give all the names as if the card came from the prophets!
Do ghosts cast a reflection in mirrors? Or is that vampires?
I'm imagining what a friend of mine would say if he saw that. "If they're so righteous, how come they're all dead?" To which someone might point out "Thomas S. Monson, the man on the far right isn't dead." "Yeah, he just looks dead." Endless fun for hecklers.
I wondered if the "artist" was making a statement because the reflections are confusing. We can see the backs of a few fellows, but nothing else in the reflections appears to be accurate.
I wondered about this because mirrors are supposed to mean so much in the temple - and some of the coolest/scariest moments of my life involve mirrors (and drugs).
EEEEWWWWWW!!!!! Now THAT is scary :O That reminds me of when I lived in St. George for a year.....I swear there was some sort of painting in the lobby of the temple there with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, et al thanking the Mormons for baptising them. Am I hallucinating, or does such a thing actually exist? Anybody familiar with the St. George temple? Oh, and I loved the story of Brigham Young smiting its cupola with lightning (after he was dead) because he didn't like the way it looked, and after Brigham's Bolt struck the tower they rebuilt it to his specifications given before he croaked. Another fun legend.
