I have decided the only man who could ever possibly understand me is an exmormon.

I used to think I'd never consider dating a guy who had any knowledge of the church because he'd judge me for believing in it...even if he was an exmo himself...but through this board, I've come to realize that the people here seem to take my thoughts right out of my head!

So I need to start attending these exmo conferences!!:)

I don't know your demographics nice lady, but I am serious when I say this: active duty military (all branches) is crawling with perverted and cool jack/exmo dudes. I learned to drink, party, swear and my jackmo wife (from the family of JS) sweetly "licked my cupcake" when we were both in the military. I've been hooked on her licking my cupcake since. Exmo hubbies are great because we will medicate you with alcohol to calm you down.

I found my awesome exmo husband in the Army... He is still very sexy and makes a mean margarita. Oh, and he spoils me ROTTEN!

Well I was born and raised in the church...went till I was in YW's...then became inactive throughout high school...randomly got baptized when I was 18- so I was technically only TBM for like...a couple weeks haha but I've lived the mormon life since Day 1

He exited with me when he was eleven years old, much to his TBM dad's dismay.

You might find a kindred spirit in anyone who has left a religion that exerts an extreme amount of influence. For example, if you met someone from a fundie baptist, homeschooling background, or an ex gothardite, you'd probably find someone who would be able to relate, even though they couldn't relate to the doctrine you left. You might check rick ross' forums (rickross.org, I think) and see if anyone there has ideas.

If you are in Utah, anyone on a dating site that doesn't identify as Mormon, specifically someone identifying as spiritual but not religious, might be the key to meeting someone.

You are only 19 years old. You should head off to college and enjoy those years. I still look back on my college years fondly even though I was in the Church at the time. I imagine those years would have been even more fun had I been out of the Church at the time.

Being a single guy I fully understand your situation though. It's hard to explain to a new potential romantic interest why you are the way you are without having to explain some of your experiences in the Church. It's a little embarrassing but even more than that is they usually have a hard time relating to your state of mind at the time.
