why do mormons love Pyramid schemes?

My mom's visiting teacher just phoned the other day and left a message for my mom that she had something real exciting she wanted to tell her about.

My mom has already gotten wind of a MLM/pyramid scheme that has taken hold in our ward and she is certain it is what this lady is calling about.

Are Mormons stupid and have they no tact? First of all, they are suckers for these get rich easy schemes that are rip offs. Second, does it not occur to this lady that it is extremely uncomfortable for my mom to be put in position of having shady business propositions put to her by her visiting teacher?

It drives me crazy.

The Church is a pyramid with each level sucking on the one below

and the only really rich people at the top
