http://www.slate.com/articles/life/explainer/2011/12/was_jesus_christ_s_hairstyle_normal_for_his_time_.html

"It's very unlikely that the Jesus hairstyle shown in religious icons has anything to do with his actual coiffure. A Roman triumphal arch from that era depicts enslaved Jews with short hair,"

"Pagan gods who were associated with water, like Neptune, often had long-flowing hair that merged with the water itself in statues and paintings. Ancient cities built at the confluence of waterways had their own local river gods who were similarly depicted. Jesus, too, had a relationship with water. He walked on water, he turned water into wine, and, in early paintings, he’s often shown above the four rivers of paradise."

Somebody better start giving the Christus statue a haircut!

And the Christ in the new first vision sculpture in the Conference Center.

Even so, I doubt his hair looked like a Mormon missionary.

Screw the white shirts, hairstyles, ties, suits and lack of facial hair that the LDS church "requires" (through peer pressure, shaming and shunning).

What with all the sacred oiling ceremonies, I would guess Jesus had hair like Elvis.

This is the argument I used to get from my jay dub relatives when I had long hair which they didn't like.

There are a lot of ways they could have cut hair.

Romans I think used seashells after coating their skin with olive oil.

The Romans had iron . The Bronze Age was ancient history. Romans in this period had short hair and were clean shaven

"A history of scissors"
http://www.helium.com/items/1080513-history-of-scissors-and-shears

"The earliest devices that can be loosely described as scissors were probably made in Egypt in around 1500 BCE."

"Cross-bladed scissors were invented in about 100 AD by the Romans, although the pattern followed the Egyptian design, thus resembling the shears used by more recent sheep-shearers and gardeners."

This one has a photograph of one type:

For instance, cut hair like this:
Pottery bowl over the head, lift hair up over the metal-overlayed edge of the bowl, cut it with a sharp object, like a heated knife.
easy

I assume you are talking about the Arch of Titus which was built in commeration of the destruction of the temple. this was about 40 years after Jesus' time. If styles changed like they do today the images may not say much about what Jesus' hair was like.Look at how m uch men's hair has changed since the 60s'
