My neighbor, an otherwise very well-educated and intelligent person and top-notch veterinarian, has an Achilles heel when it comes to "Focus on the Family." If it comes from the lips of the great Mr Dobson, it must be true.

She told my sorta TBM hubby the other night that "God Himself closed the door to the Ark when everybody was on board. It says so in the Bible." (I can't see God as a cruise attendant, but that's MY problem.)

Anyway, this piqued DH's curiosity and after neighbor went home, DH began excavating all the relevant material he could find about who REALLY closed the door on the Ark. Couldn't find squat.

Of course, DH, being a good Mormon, only has the KJV translation. Maybe this bit about the hatch-slamming turns up in some other version.

So I guess it was God's fault that unicorns didn't make it on board. How sad.

Just wondered if anybody else had heard this.
