My TBM ex-wife just texted me "we need to talk. Have you been saying things about Mormons to little mystic?"

And what has SHE been saying about mormons to Little Mystic?

Yes, tell us the conversation please. This should be good. Is she trying to stifle your ability to communicate your truth?

Holy shit! I'm actually really impressed with her.

She was laughing at some of the things little mystic said. She also says we will talk more later because she didn't have time, but here is the quick summary.

Little mystic is 7. He told his mom after church today that he doesn't want to go anymore. "they tell me 3 hours worth of lies, and it's filling my brain full of poison just like cigarettes do to dads body."

She told him that he doesn't have to be Mormon, but on weekends when he visits her, he has to go to church because he is too young to leave him by himself at the house.

She told me that she will never pressure him to believe anything, and that she likes how he thinks for himself.

Cool. I'm impressed, too. Especially with Little Mystic's power of discernment...

I was impressed by how your wife handled this with Little Mystic and Lost Mystic. Very unMormonlike if you ask me.

Good for her and good for you, I say.

He'll still be made to go to church when he's 8 in that case and baptism is going to be a huge pressure.

If he's going to church each week then you won't be the only people raising your son. The pressure to be baptised will come from the primary teachers and presidency.
