Dan Wotherspoon interview was a trip. He talked about everything he didn't believe. He could explain the facts that lead him to the conclude he did not believe various things.
Yet, he also claimed he was a believer . . . er kind of a believer in Joseph Smith . . . that "something" powerful was happening at the time.
It was bizarre. And he sounded stressed and strained as he tried to explain. Sighing, giggling, almost groaning. It was so obviously painful, even to him, that when John Dehlin was signing off and said thanks for the interview, Wotherspoon talked for five minutes trying to explain how even though everything he said makes it sound like he is not a believer that he kind of sort of is and even referred listeners to an article he wrote. This after a three hour interview.
I don't know if I've ever listened to someone so conflicted. The man is wrestling an imaginary ape and he just can't stop.
