I grew up TBM and never looked at porn. My husband is a normal nevermo, so he enjoys occasionally looking at porn. I don't mind him watching it, but I can't bring myself to actually watch it myself. Is it my Mormon conditioning, or is porn just a guy thing? I don't really enjoy watching other people having sex, and the only man I like to see naked is my husband. Is porn something I could learn to enjoy with my husband, or is it a sexual preference that isn't likely to change?

It's... not for everyone. Try watching it in the context as in wanting to get tips as to waht you can do.

There is two types of porn. Porn for guys when the wife is not around, and porn for when your wife wants to watch it with you. There isn't much of a difference. The first type is just straight out sex acts, while the later tries to employ "acting" and is really amusing in its own right.

Again, it's not for everyone, but if you can find something you are both comfortable watching, it is a good way to get both of you really hot for each other.

My interest in porn began long before I had a wife to boink, and long before I was able to boink anybody for that matter. I think that's part of the reason men, even men in committed relationships, like porn - it is a habit formed before there were alternative outlets available.

I would imagine a TBM who never looked at porn before he got married would not find much of a use for it even if he left TSCC. If that habit isn't formed during your teens, then by the time you are getting regular sex with another human being, there is less need for it.

It could be either. I've always had very liberal attitudes about sex and I've never found hard core porn interesting at all.

When I was younger I used to enjoy watching the Red Shoe Diaries series which is erotica/soft core porn oriented to women.

Someone I used to know complained bitterly that he had to go to an adult book shop in a town some miles away to buy some real heavy duty hardcore sex magazines and videos... for his girlfriend!

She looked like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, but she was far from that!

They put me in the same sexy mood and entertain me at the same time.
You could also try romance books... Nora Roberts is excellent.

Porn is simply a preference, not a necessity. If it doesn't float your boat, then it doesn't.

And I don't think porn is a good place to look for any sexual tips, seeing as how most of pornography is staged with fake orgasms, impossible sexual positions, and blatantly fake body parts.

It's just a visual stimulant that works for some, and not for others. For every man who loves porn, there's a woman who doesn't. And for every man who doesn't care for porn, there's a woman who does. It isn't a man/woman thing, it's just... a preference.
