It was reported on another thread that Greg Dodge was no longer at Confidential Records (the office which processes name removals).

It turns out that the report was a false rumor.

I just called Confidential Records, using the direct line to Greg Dodge. I got his voice mail. I called the direct line to David Wood, and a young man named Nathan answered. I told him I was trying to reach either Dodge or Wood. He told me that neither was available, and added that Wood no longer works there. He didn't know why. I asked about Dodge, and he said that Dodge was head of the department, but was out of the office right now.

So, it sounds like the rumors of Dodge being gone are either inaccurate, or Nathan was lying to me.

They're certainly not above lying, so we'll have to see!

Check out is FACEBOOK. It's still the same. I presume it's his FACEBOOK account.
Why the rumors? Why the accusations of lying?
What possible difference does it make who the LDS Church employs in their departments. Sure doesn't make any difference to me. I don't care one whit! :-)

Because someone called his office the other day and a woman answered that Greg Dodge no longer works in that department. Now Richard called and got someone else telling him that it's Wood who no longer works in the department. Either someone's confused, a shake-up is happening, or someone's lying.

About the Facebook page, it could have been made by anyone and has next to no content. That's why.

If you don't care about who Greg Dodge is and/or his employment status, then just ignore the post. No need to belittle other's interest on this topic.

I used that term because that is what they process there. They do NOT process "resignations." They process "name removals."

When you resign, the church goes through its "name removal" process as a result of the resignation. They cannot possibly process a "resignation," because by the time they get it, the resignation has already taken place, performed by the (now former) member.

I'm still not convinced Greg Dodge is even a real person. Seriously.

I believe that our own "Cricket" met him in person and hand delivered a Christmas Card.

Unfortunately, security destroyed them. They thought the gifts might be booby trapped somehow. They weren't. The gift and messages were real and heartfelt.

Cricket said Greg was a nice looking TBM gentleman.

Former employees of the COB have talked about meeting and/or working with him. However, that shouldn't stop anyone from addressing letters to him as: "Mr. Greg Dodge -- if that's your real name."

Thanks Richard. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I find it interesting that there is a new email address for name removal requests. I wonder if there is now a team to handle the requests or if the responsibility is getting too much for Mr Dodge and needs to be phase onto someone else.

Do you know is Greg Dodge is close to retirement age? Just curious.
