exodus 34

hugh nibley taught that they veiled their face so they would not be a distraction.

i think what he was trying to say is that when a holy person comes close to GOD they begin to shine. Sisters being more holy than the brothers would shine and become a distraction. there have been times when i know my wife has shined.
