Atheist Baptisms

So the church is apologizing for baptizing Jews and are getting some negative media attention, but why hasn't anybody in the media jumped on the church for the fact that even if they stop baptizing anyone of Jewish descent, they are still baptizing people from every other religion! Even atheists get baptized! Shouldn't they stop baptizing people from every religion? Why don't other religions get the same respect that the Jewish people do?
Shouldn't the church be apologizing for ALL of their baptisms?
Do you think that if the news covered this aspect of the story better that non-Mormons would be more upset?
