Let's say the unthinkable happens and Romney does indeed become President of the US....will he attempt to visit the temple? Will he need to recruit Mormon Temple Worthy Secret Service to accompany him? Is there any precedent to allow just one individual to have the temple to himself? What about the temple workers? Will they have to be cleared by the Secret Service?

Most likely it will be 4 years of no temple service, and even no church attendance. Most likely there will be a couple of teenagers, escorted by the secret serivce, that deliver the sacrament to him each week.

Don't be silly! He is a High Priest and able to administer the ordinances of the g, in his own stead. I would assume he will be authorized to hold prayer circles in the white house. I can't imagine that the brethren wouldn't leap to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom and get in a little "pay lay ale" in hte oval office.

They would close the DC temple just for Pres to use.

I was wondering this same thing myself. I think it is unfair if only "Temple Worthy" mormons get to guard the President when going to the Temple. I think the Justice Dept. should go after the Secret Service if this does happen. On the other hand, the temple rites are so bizarre, the mormon church and president romney (vomiting at the thought) will probably not go to the temple so as not to call attention to the bizarreness.

I agree with Huntsville.

although it's doubtful that the SS agents are in a union, that would still be religious discrimination.

I hope we NEVER find out.

Does Romney go to church now? Seems like he's doing nothing that would attract attention to the fact that he's Mormon.

We never hear him asked, "Your church believes in X and you said you were not a cafeteria Mormon, so why do you now say you believe in Y?"
