One Mr. Schumann is shocked that faithful members of the church would complain about anything the church would impose on anybody. Here is a choice quote that sums it up nicely:

"We’re asked to give everything we have [for the church], but we can’t put up with traffic or losing a mountain view?" Schumann asked.

Notice how he chides them and corrects them all at the same time with his little reference to their temple covenants? It just makes my skin crawl to read this.

This so clearly illustrates how many LDS see their relationship with the Church. They are only there to serve it's purposes. It's all about the Church and what the Brethren want.

No doubting, no complaining, no individaulity....just what the Borg wants.

The church demands complete compliance with a smile and far to many of the sheep completely comply with smiles on their faces.

1) Self righteous deluded fanatics like that are so characteristic of that cult - truly the hallmark of mormonism is the weird ass people TSCC produce.
2) Because he is able to print his name, in his deluded mind he trying to impress someone his his local stake/region.
3) His view isn't blocked.

In that part of Utah, a mountain view is about the only positive local feature. I don't blame people for complaining.
