All in favor? Signal your approval below... The Cabbie votes "Aye!"

He's beating Mitt over the head with D&C 63:17 as I write this...

Oh my... Take extra credit if you didn't have to Google up the definition of "mendacious" (Cabdriver Confession: I had to)

I feel it doesn't go far enough.

I think "Mitt the Lying S**tweasel" would be far better.

I get extra credit for knowing, but why specifically is he saying Mitt is lying about? Everything or something specific?

The Romney camp is saying otherwise.

That's just the tip of the iceberg...

I mean, after all, Ted Nugent is well-known - and has publicly admitted - his numerous affairs with underage girls.

Maybe that's why the mutual lovefest between Ted & Mitt: Joe Smith was a pedophile!

Sounds about right . . .

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mendacious

As an aside, MSNBC commentator Martin Bashir showed footage of Mitt's standard greeting to crowds this week. He was showing clip after clip of Mitt asking: "Are there any vets or members of the armed forces here today? If so, raise your hand."

In one clip, Mitt slipped and actually said, "If so, raise your arm" . . . (to the square?). Stumble, stumble, head shake. "Raise your HAND."

I think I was the only person in America who caught that.

Anyway, Bashir doesn't miss much. And he seems to have it in for Mitt. Pass the popcorn.

;o)

I got the mendacious from its Latin roots. Do you have a link? Aye, also. It is nice to see someone hit him both with his lies and his cult.

I'm certain today's clip will be available shortly...

And he said Romney unequivocably sought out Ted Nugent, and not the other way around.

That one will be re-run twice more tonight...

What do you all say about this mythological flip-flopping pastor endorsing Mitt?

Birds of same feathers would never seize to fly 2gether right?

Martin Bashir is a nut. I hope most of you don't actually watch that guy.

Got anything besides namecalling to offer? Honest, I can distinguish honest eloquence and a humble intellect from buzzword jockeying a mile away...

With Keith Olbermann currently off the air, Bashir is the closest thing to a voice of reason I've seen. Keep a dictionary handy when watching or use your smart phone to Google the words you don't understand.

Keep coming back; this place will help undo the damage Mormonism did to your perceptions, and one day perhaps you'll see things differently.

Bashir doesn't come across as a nut, at least not in these videos.

Irrelevant. Bashir isn't the one who has repeatedly put his veracity at issue.

Or... he could keep lying, not win the White House, and end up in hell. Now that would suck.

I am claiming my extra credit for knowing what mendacious meant without having to look it up.

Here's an excerpt from the article that anony57 linked to:

“In Section 63, in verse 17 of the Doctrine and Covenants of the Mormon Church we find this: ‘All liars, and whosoever loveth and and maketh a lie, and the whoremonger, and the sorcerer, shall have their part in that lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death,'" Bashir said. "And from the Book of Mormon to Nephi, Chapter 2, Verse 34 we find this: ‘Woe unto the liar, for he shall be thrust down to hell.'"

"Given what the Book of Mormon is clearly saying, Mr. Romney has but two choices,” Bashir continued. “He can either keep lying and potentially win the White House, but bring eternal damnation upon himself or he can start telling the truth. The question for him, I guess, is which is more important."
