FYI - when the morg changed it's acctg rules and system in October 2010 the donation procedure for disaster relief changed too - the $ you donate to humanitarian aid will only be used in the country where you reside unless you specify international disaster relief for a specific disaster oversees (Haiti's earthquake, etc.).
So american sheeple who donate and think their $ is going oversees are actually donating to help disaster victims in the US. It was never announced, but those of that were clerks got it in email from COB as part of the acctg system roll-out.
the mosy recent tithing slip (IIRC) says 'you can tick any boxes you want, but we are gonna use it however we like' (paraphrased)
[edit] - actual wording "Though reasonable efforts will be made globally to use donations as designated, all donations become the Church's property and will be used at the Church's sole discretion to further the Church's overall mission."
