He was commenting again on Mitt not giving to charity, rather to LDS Inc which spends alot of money on such things as Prop 8.

Not a big fan of religion that one. It seems he finds mormonism even more ridiculous than other ones.

I totally agree with what he said. He's right - Mormonism isn't a charity and it shouldn't be subsidized by the taxpayers.

Mormonism is a business, and like any business they want it to grow and earn more. Contributions to mormonism should not be tax deductible.

All religions should be taxed.

The Mormons were not careful with what they wished for. Now that they have a presidential candidate, the spotlight is shining brightly, and people are seeing the morg as the train wreck it is. This is not their finest hour.

Presidential salary is $400,000/yr so it's likely a vote for Mitt is a vote to send a minimum of $40,000/yr to Salt Lake for the next four years.

Have to say he is not my kind of comedian/commentator but I do support him as far as the facts he puts out about Romney. Keep it up.

I love how detailed he gets into the nature of tithing.

I especially love that he brings up the prop 8 funding thing.

Bill Maher is very funny but what I like about him is his honesty, rationality, and common sense approach. He thinks all religions are weird but thinks mormonism is the craziest of all (like in his movie, "Religulous"). I realize that so many people (but not all) are trapped in religions that are so irrationale and so silly. If God exists, how could he be happy about the state of religion in this world that causes pain and destruction?

I also liked when he said that the Mormon church is secretive. The Catholic church lays their crazy out on the table. With Mormonism, it's more like Fight Club. He said the San Diego temple looks like Superman's Fortress of Solitude. He said the Catholic church is trying to ensure that the only gay people in marriage ceremonies are the priests performing the ceremony. Just brilliant.
