Mormon doctrine clearly defines a full tithe as 1/10 your INTEREST after your other needs are met.

Doctrine and Covenants 119:4-5
4 And after that, those who have been thus tithed shall pay one-tenth of all their interest annually; and this shall be a standing law unto them forever, for my holy priesthood, saith the Lord.

5 Verily I say unto you, it shall come to pass that all those who gather unto the land of aZion shall be tithed of their ***SURPLUS PROPERTIES***, and shall observe this law, or they shall not be found worthy to abide among you.

When did the corporation get so greedy that they hoodwinked the members into thinking they have to pay on their gross when the average person has no way to afford to?

"After that, those who have been thus tithed"

Did you notice what it says? Think about what that means.

Tithing=Law of Consecration

Tell them that until the church decides to go back to the real law of tithing you aren't bound by their bogus scriptures anyway.
