I have always had lots of questions and doubts which have never been resolved. Either I made members uncomfortable because they did not have any answers or got the pray about it/everything will become clear when you are on the other side bit. As a convert I was impressed by the Book of Mormon but could never figure out how JS translated it and the Bk of A always seemed dicey.

The final 2 nails in the coffin for me were 'Every member a janitor' and the 11 wives of JS that were married to other men. Hey, wait a minute? How does that work? Had I decided to just live with my husband I would surely have been ex'd!!!

I too am angry and feel cheated of the time and money spent on what is becoming known as a fraud. Thank God for the Internet so we are able to discover heretofore info that TSCC hides or changes. I am so thankful for this site and others. I have spent countless hours reading and reading---very often all night long.
Read every exit letter on another site (over 200), am currently reading An American Fraud: One Lawyer's Case Against Mormonism and just finished Heaven Up Here. My iPad s getting a real workout!

BTW, went through the temple for my endowment and never ever went back. Don't even get me started on that...........

Great story, hadenuf. I can really relate, especially pulling an all-nighter. I am reminded of one fellow exmo who told me he started studying his way out of the church surreptitiously by telling his wife he was doing "research" in his study. Only thing, he would lock the door.

So the wife gets suspicious and starts pounding on the door asking what the HELL is he doing in there. He is so gripped by what he's reading, he says, "Nothing NOTHING I tell you," and he keeps reading. She jimmies the lock and bursts in, accusing him of having phone sex, an online lover and being addicted to pornography all at once.

When she sees it's just anti-Mormon stuff, she is so relieved she bursts into tears. And that's how the door opened for him and his sweetheart to get out together.

Congrats on your escape and your one reason is all I would need to know IF I had ever been Mormon....JS married other men's wives....just how can people think that is okay? I wonder if my convert daughter will ever go back to the temple. Before she went I told her it would be a less than spiritual experience. Never heard her speak of it later on. I simply think she would laugh or just say WTF? My hope is she will wake up one day. She had been Mormon for three and a half yrs.

Thank you for responding to my first post Anagrammy. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your many thought provoking comments over these many months. You must be either a sage or a very old soul.

I have learned much by watching BEYOND AND BACK on Bio. People that have died and come back relate info that contradicts doctrine taught in the LDS church. I just stopped going and they don't seem to miss me so it works out just fine. And best of all I don't have to deal with Mormon shunning. Guess you might say I got a 'divorce'.
